Day of mourning

Today is St. Patrick's Day, and one of only two times during this pregnancy that I have wanted to join the masses that are spending their time sipping on something that impairs judgement (the first being Christmas, of course). Over the course of our ten years together Josh and I have managed to make this holiday one of the more important events on the calendar, even though I cannot boast even 1% of the heritage for which it is celebrated, like he can. But, I have no problem helping Irish people acknowledge this day and usually try to do it up as big as whatever the town I live in has to offer. I realize that the weekend marked for celebration has passed, but I think I'm going to do what any pregnant person would do in this situation - go to McDonald's for a Shamrock Shake. Beware fellow drivers and local law enforcement! In honor of this joyous occasion, a few photos from St. Patty's past...
