I have been meaning to get this for MW pretty much since he was born, but well, you know how good I've been at staying on top of things lately. So he got it for Christmas. It's called the Cloud B Twilight Turtle and is the coolest nightlight ever. The shell is covered in holes and projects stars and a few constellations onto the ceiling, and you can choose to have them in blue, green or amber. So far, MW seems pretty intrigued by it whenever I turn it on, which is just what I was hoping for. Time will tell if he becomes a fan.
On another MW note, I reintroduced rice cereal into his world today and his reaction was exactly as it was a month and a half ago when he first tried it - gagging and a variety of sour faces. I'll admit we shouldn't have been slacking on this, but it's been much easier to just give him the fruit or vegetable baby foods he really does like. Ah, the joys of figuring out how to feed a child over six months old. And this is only the beginning!
And finally, I must report that the temperature today is -4. That's a minus sign people, as in b.e.l.o.w. zero. It's a "go outside, freeze your eyes and nose shut, cold slapping your face, wind blowing through a snowsuit and parka ensemble" kind of miserable today. Good thing Chef J is busy making chili for dinner, or I just might freeze to death inside this house.

I LOVE that turtle light and have been wanting to get it for Alex since before he was born! I actually was registered for it. And no, he doesn't have it yet. Sigh. Glad to hear you like it though. Maybe it will need to replace the monkey nightlight he has in his room now, which I don't think he is super duper fond of anyway. Oh, and BTW....the temp here this morning was -14. Gotta love it.
ReplyDeletePS: Thinking of you guys SO much today and already teared up for a good 5 minutes after seeing Josh's FB profile.
